Most people aren’t morning people. Rowena however is up at the crack of dawn because she sees each day as the start of new possibilities. For over 10 years Rowena’s been bringing this positivity to RDC and helping clients with family businesses make a difference to their financial affairs. In 2018, Rowena officially became a director within the firm. Outside of work, Rowena loves to run – we mean really run and often in the company of her dogs Kensi and Gunny. It’s no wonder she has such a spring in her step!
Marco loves life in the fast lane – literally. On the weekends you’ll find him either racing his Renault 265 rally car round The Bend or mountain biking at full speed down a hill. But Marco also knows when to slow down and apply his technical and advisory skills that he developed over 12 years at two international firms before joining RDC Partners in 2016. Working extensively with privately owned family businesses, Marco has helped provide strategic, tax and financial advice to his clients across a diverse range of industries. As one of five siblings, Marco fully appreciates the importance of family.
Marisa loves knocking down a wall and getting her hands dirty. Her and hubby’s
‘hobby’ of renovating old homes has seen that same tenacity and patience applied to her profession. With 20 years experience in finance management, Marisa’s reporting skills, budget preparations, forecasts and in-depth analysis are second to none. Given Marisa’s expertise, it’s no surprise she’s passionate about ensuring clients operate in the most efficient manner possible. When she’s not renovating, Marisa still loves getting her hands dirty, but this time on a camping holiday with the family.
At the tender age of 3, Alex stuck his foot under a lawnmower and thanks to some quick thinking, managed to save his little toe. Needless to say, Alex grew up appreciating the importance of protecting what you own. Coming from a family of small business operators in the Barossa Valley, he also knows the value of hard work. Having joined RDC Partners 3 years ago, Alex is soon to graduate as a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. Young and enthusiastic, Alex is continually growing his knowledge and skills in accounting, tax and business. And as a self-confessed sports nut, he’s never been shy of dipping his toes in anything new – luckily all 10 of them!
As Dylan’s surname would suggest, he likes to rule – at numbers that is. Having studied Architecture it wasn’t long before he completed his Masters of Professional Accounting that helped him realise where his passion truly lies. Income tax returns and tax planning is Dylan’s forte. But then again, that’s no surprise considering Dylan has always been a natural born problem solver. He can nail the Rubik’s cube in under a minute and as a child was able to solve puzzles before he could even walk!
The old adage ‘practice makes perfect’ has never been more appropriate when it comes to Alycia. After all, the word ‘practice’ is in her official working title and trust us, there’s nothing Alycia hasn’t perfected. A self confessed perfectionist, coupled with having worked in accounting firms for most of her life, keeps Alycia at the top of her game. And having come from a big Greek family has equipped Alycia with the people skills to always deliver exceptional service with a big hearty smile.
Donna Strickland is a stickler for detail. Or should we call her ‘Donna Stickler?’ It’s probably a result of over 25 years experience in property management, coupled with her own love affair with interior design. Her personalised and tailored approach to client service has made her one of the most efficient property managers in the business. Charismatic, confident and diligent, her attributes are music to our ears. Her ears on the hand enjoy listening to live bands like the legendary Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac.
Like most devoted bookkeepers and accountants, Rachel has a strange affinity for numbers. In her case however they seem to have shaped her life – she’s 1 of 7 children, that’s 1 sister, 5 brothers and currently she’s Aunty to 11! But her love for family extends through to her work family and managing accounts for the Smart Property Group. Loyal, honest and meticulously organised, Rachel loves nothing more than a wonderfully productive day. Oh and of course, good coffee.
